Those of you who are regular visitors to my B&B may have noticed that during the past year I haven’t been as light on my feet as usual! My knee has been giving me problems, and it is getting progressively worse. I expected to have an operation towards the end of the year but have just been informed that surgery is scheduled to take place on 29 October.
Reluctantly, I have taken the decision to effectively close The Cross at Croscombe on online booking sites (including my own) until February 2027. That being said, the small (but perfectly formed) team I have around me will still be working hard to honour existing bookings and functions that are due to take place in 2026. My role will temporarily change from ‘hands-on’ to ‘supervisory’ as I recuperate. The Elizabethan Inspired Feast with Kate Hunter will be postponed until early 2027. Thank you to everyone who booked.
If you would like to visit The Cross at Croscombe over the next 3 months, please get in touch. It may be possible to provide accommodation or catering for an event. I’ll need to decide on a case by case basis.
Thank you for your understanding and I look forward to giving a positive health update soon.
